The updated 2018 Regulations have been released and a new layout for the speed skating track has been introduced.

Following the previous rules, the admited tracks had a linear side profile. Starting from 2018, also parabolic transversal profiles will be admitted as for the Annex B to the Regulation available here.

The new track layout will add more suspence to the competitions thanks to the new strategies and the different trajectories that could be followed: it will make easier overtakings and higher speeds with the final sprints even more spectacular.

Please take note that a few changes have been applied to the Annex B - Parabolic Transversal Profile Track Layout V 1.1
