We are happy to announce the World Skateboarding Summit 2019, a global institutional and technical meeting open to skateboarding stakeholders at large: Athletes, National federations IOC representatives, coaches, managers, industry and media.
The World Skateboarding Summit 2019 is the first institutional and technical global meeting open to skateboarding stakeholders at large, leading up to the Tokyo 2020 games. The event will take place in Rio De Janeiro on the 10th of November, during the weekend before the STU Open, the first event of season #2 of the Olympic qualification system.
The objective of the World Skateboarding Summit 2019 is to inform, share and discuss key topics of Olympic skateboarding, its governance, and future development, together with stakeholders from various backgrounds: Athletes, National federations IOC representatives, coaches, managers, industry and media.
The World Skateboarding Summit 2019 is organized around several key topics including:
- The inclusion of skateboarding into the organized sports system
- Qualification system insights
- Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games preparation
- The future development of skateboarding beyond the first Olympic Games in history
The summit will be conducted using a mixed format of the conference for the informative sessions and the unconference format for all those topics that will benefit from peer to peer discussion.
