B.3 Type of Allocation of Quota Places:
The quota place is allocated to the athlete(s) by name.
C. ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY
All athletes must respect and comply with the provisions of the Olympic Charter currently in force, including but not limited to Rule 41 (Nationality of Competitors) and Rule 43 (World Anti-Doping Code and the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of Manipulation of Competitions).
Only those athletes who respect and comply with the Olympic Charter, the World Anti-Doping Code and the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions, including the conditions of participation established by the IOC, plus the rules of World Skate, may participate in the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
C.1 Additional IF Requirements:
Athletes must also comply with the following criteria:
- Be listed by name in the Olympic World Skateboarding Rankings on the website here as of 24 June 2024.
- Must be a recognized member of their National Federation, as by the National Governing body standards and procedures.
D. QUALIFICATION PATHWAY
The Women’s Park and Street events and Men’s Park and Street events will each be comprised of exactly 22 athletes: twenty (20) will be qualified through the Olympic World Skateboarding Rankings (OWSR), one (1) Universality quota place and one (1) host country place will be allocated to the highest ranked host country athletes in each event, if not already otherwise qualified.

The OWSR recognises and award points to World Skate sanctioned events in the following tiers:
The Olympic World Skateboarding Ranking (OWSR) is sanctioned by World Skate and issued within 72 hours following the completion of each competition. The OWSR and event calendar can be found here. The OWSR criteria will also be released here before the start of the Olympic qualification period.
OWSR ranking can be earned between 22 June 2022 and up to the 23 June 2024 included, over 3 seasons:
2022 – 22 June to 31 December
Athletes will be selected by name from the OWSR as of 24 June 2024 following the conclusion of all eligible OWSR events, with a maximum quota of three (3) athletes per NOC per gender per event until the number of 20 athletes is reached, including continental places.
Each of the five (5) continents of the Olympic Movement is guaranteed one (1) athlete per event, if not qualified in accordance with the above qualification criteria (continental places). Such continental places will be allocated to the highest ranked athlete(s) on the Olympic World Skateboarding Rankings from the continent(s) without representation, if available. |
D.2 Host Country Places
The host country is guaranteed one (1) athlete in each of the women’s and men’s events, if not already otherwise qualified. The athlete selected by name shall be the highest ranked athlete from the host country listed on the Olympic World Skateboarding Rankings as of 24 June 2024. In the event, there is no athlete from the host country listed on the Olympic World Skateboarding Rankings, World Skate will, in collaboration with the host country NOC, identify the athlete(s) to represent the host country.
D.2 Universality Places
One (1) men’s and one (1) women’s Universality place per event is made available to eligible NOCs at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
On 1 October 2023, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will invite all eligible NOCs to submit their requests for Universality places. The deadline for NOCs to submit their requests is the 15 January 2024. The Tripartite Commission will confirm, in writing, the allocation of Universality places to the relevant NOCs after the qualification period for the sport concerned.
Athletes Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for Universality places athletes must be ranked 50 or better in the OWSR.

E. CONFIRMATION PROCESS FOR QUOTA PLACES
E.1 Confirmation of Quota Places
World Skate will publish the OWSR here during the entire qualification period prior to the qualification deadline. The qualification period will end on 23 June 2024 and World Skate will update the final OWSR on 24 June 2024, following the conclusion of all eligible OWSR events in the week immediately preceding.
Upon publication of the final OWSR, World Skate will send the confirmation of the quota places obtained in accordance with the qualification criteria outlined in Section D above to the respective NOCs, no later than 24 June 2024 at 22:00 Central European Standard Time.
No later than 29 June 2024 at 22:00 Central European Standard Time each NOC will have to confirm to World Skate the athlete places that they will use.
As of 30 June 2024 at 22:00 Central European Standard Time World Skate will commence the reallocation of all unused quota places.
E.1 Confirmation of Host Country Places
The host country must confirm in writing to World Skate by 29 June 2024 at 22:00 Central European Standard Time the use of its host country places.
F. REALLOCATION OF UNUSED QUOTA PLACES
F.1 Reallocation of unused Qualification Places
If a quota place allocated is not confirmed by the NOC by the confirmation of quota place deadline or is declined by the NOC or for any other reason can’t be assigned, it will be reallocated to the highest ranked athlete by name on the OWSR of 1 July 2024 not already qualified, and respecting the maximum quota per NOC per event and respecting the continental representation (as determined under Section B and D above). No later than 30 June 2024 at 17:00 Central European Standard Time, World Skate will reallocate all unused quota places.
F.2 Reallocation of unused Host Country Places
Unused host country place(s) will be reallocated by name, to the highest ranked athlete on the OWSR as of 24 June 2024, not already qualified and respecting the maximum quota per NOC per event, no later than 7 July 2024 at 17:00 Central European Standard Time.
F.3 Reallocation of unused Universality Place
Any unused Universality place(s) will be reallocated by name, to the highest ranked athlete on the Olympic World Skateboarding Rankings of 24 June 2024, not already qualified and respecting the maximum quota per NOC per event, no later than 7 July 2024 at 17:00 Central European Standard Time.
