First phase 'round robins' are almost done in Barcelona: the Juniors are working hard to clinch a playoff spot, shift after shift, doing their best. Big teams are showing their potential. In Junior Men Namibia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Usa, Switzerland, Colombia, Italy and Canada won their games scoring more then 10 goals. France- Poland was a close one: les Blues won 2-0 finding the net in the second period (shut-out by Lefebvre). The host Spain beat Chinese Taipei 9-5: amazing game, terrific goals on both sides.
In Junior Women second straight win for New Zealand: 6-0 versus India with an hat-trick by Kingi. USA gained first points beating Colombia 7-1: Josey and Joy Dunne scored two goals each. The 'North Clash' between Finland and Sweden ended 6-2 for the white and blue (hat-trick by Aro). Things are going tough in Pool C: Italy and Great Britain have three point inthe standings, Canada two but they play China in the last game. Who'll advance to the second phase?
