It was an exceptional day of skateboarding at the WS World Park Championships in São Paulo today. The energy all day, starting in the morning with the women’s semi- finals, through the men’s semi-finals mid day and culminating with the women’s finals this afternoon was incredible. Their’s something special about this group of skateboarders, how they skate the park together and seem to all be in it as one. Supporting each other, cheering each other on and building off the each other’s energy. How skateboarding is and should be. Positive energy and incredible athletes is a potent combination. The Women’s final was particularly awesome. The balance of youth and power. Skill combined with absolute commitment and joy in what they’re doing really showed through. Congratulations to everyone that skated today and especially to our top three women’s finalists Misugu Okamoto, Sakura Yosozumi, and Sky Brown. Full details below!
