Tomorrow, there will be the most anticipated race of the Speed World Championships: the Open Marathon. It starts and ends next to La Pedrera (at the confluence of Passeig de Gràcia and Calle Provença) and runs along the Diagonal to the Law School of the University of Barcelona (Av. Doctor Marañón).
For the first time, the Marathon will be “Open” where in addition of the National Teams, there will be also federated athletes. Furthermore It's included the World Championships for the Master category for athletes over 30 years old.
$ 34,000 will be distributed in cash prizes, $ 17,000 for each category (male and female): $ 10,000 for the first classified, $ 5,000 for the second and $ 2,000 for the third.
The race will start at 8.00 with the female category, while the male race starts at 10.00.
